Grilled Oysters with Garlic Compound Butter
Overnight prep, 10 mins cook time
Ingredients
12 oysters shucked
4 Tbsp softened butter
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 Tbsp chopped parsley
1 Tbsp chopped chives
1 tsp lemon juice
½ tsp kosher salt
½ tsp fresh ground pepper
Directions
In a small bowl, mix butter, garlic, herbs, lemon, salt & pepper.
Wrap butter mixture in plastic wrap, roll into a log, and refrigerate overnight to let flavors meld.
Slice off 1 tsp of butter per oyster, and place on top of shucked oyster.
Grill oysters over medium-high heat with lid closed for 3-5 minutes until the juices bubble.
Note:
The oysters will be very hot coming off of the grill. Exercise caution.
Let oysters rest for 1-2 minutes after grilling until they are a suitable temperature for eating.
