Ingredients
Classic Cocktail Sauce
Green onion, finely chopped
Bacon bits
Shredded medium cheddar cheese
Directions
Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
Place oysters directly on the grill grates and cook until shells pop open on their own.
While oysters are cooking, prep all ingredients.
Once shells are popped, carefully pry the top shell off and loosen oyster from the bottom shell.
Add a spoonful of cocktail sauce, a sprinkle of green onion, and scoop of bacon bits to each oyster. Top oysters generously with cheddar cheese.
Close the grill lid and cook just until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Serve oysters in the shell while still hot.
Note:
Oysters will be very hot coming off of the grill. Exercise caution.
